Frequently asked questions
If you can’t find what you’re looking for, email our support team and if you’re lucky someone will get back to you.
What format do my recipient numbers need to be in?
To ensure successful delivery, your contact's mobile numbers should be entered in the correct international format. To change mobile numbers from the domestic format to the correct international format, simply remove the first ‘0’ or ‘+’ of the mobile number and replace it with the relevant international code (e.g. 61 for Australia and 64 for New Zealand). eg. 0412345678 becomes 61412345678
Can I send SMS to mobile numbers outside of Australia?
Yes, our platform supports international messaging - ensure recipient numbers are in their correct international format, including country code before sending. Sending SMS to different regions may cost more - see rates when purchasing credits from within your account.
What are Sender IDs?
By definition, the Sender ID is the number or name that an SMS message is sent from. Before selecting a Sender ID for your SMS, you should consider whether or not you require the recipient to reply to your SMS. There are 3 options; Sending from an Alpha Sender ID (such as your business name) offers instant brand recognition but only allows one-way messages – recipients cannot reply to these messages. In some regions, we are able to provide a FREE reply option called Shared Local Number, which sends your message from a pool of virtual numbers that change each time you send. A unique Virtual Number is the gold standard of Sender IDs - these are mobile numbers used purely for sending SMS and receiving SMS/MMS.
How do I know my message was received?
The platform includes comprehensive live reporting with delivery receipts - sent, delivered, failed etc.
Do I get charged when I receive an inbound SMS or reply?
Nope. There are no charges associated with receiving inbound messages or replies.
What is a standard SMS?
According to carriers, 1 standard SMS message has a maximum of 160 standard characters. When a message is longer than 160 characters, this is referred to as a multi-part message. No matter how many message parts, your SMS will always be delivered as 1 long message to the recipient. It will NOT be split or delivered separately
